70 camaro istrument lights

my instrument lights are come from a 3 amp fuse but that fuse doesn't seem to get its power from the fuse block, a red wire leads to some type of component that has two tan wires and a male connector that needs to plug in but I cant figure out where. any help out there?

Re: 70 camaro istrument lights

The picture you have on the Chevelle site has me wondering if someone creatively wired up an alert buzzer to let one know the parking lights were on when the key was turned off.

Re: 70 camaro istrument lights

Also, you may not be getting the viewing you need if you have a 70 Camaro, as you posted this thread on the 67 to 69 section. Not sure if the 70 Camaro wiring is the same as the earlier years.

Never argue with an idiot; they'll only drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Re: 70 camaro istrument lights

I'm going to post the obvous. the dash lights get the power thru the tailight fusevia the headlight switch and the reostat that contro;s the brightness. If tailight fuse i bad no dashlight power on INST fuse. reostat has to be turned to actually get them to light. Sometimes the wire on the rostat will burn and the lights will come on at a lower brightness than full.
