headlight switch knob

How do I remove the knob for the headlight switch on a 1969 Camaro? I don't see any set screw to loosen and I don't want to pull so hard that I destroy the switch. Am I just being too gentle or should I just pull on the knob until it comes off?

Re: headlight switch knob

There is a pushbutton under the dash on the side of the switch unit. You push the button and pull out the knob.

Re: headlight switch knob

Thanks Al and Andrew. I remember now. It had been several years since the last time I did it. The knob and shaft come out together.
