Unhappy 68 Wiper ??????

68 Camaro, Windshield wipers quit working, Nothing happens on slow or high speed, however when I depresss the switch, for the washers (no pump on wiper motor) the wipers work. So here I am in a rainstorm gripping the wheel between my teeth, depressing the wiper switch with my left hand and doing the manual windshield defrost wipe with my right hand. Just can't take too many more rain showers...
Has any one come across this????
What did you find????
thanks guys.

Same problem, mine was a bad wiper switch.

Re: 68 Wiper ??????

The wiper motor gets 12V from the yellow wire. The wiper switch grounds the other wires to activate the motor. You might get our your volt meter and see if you have 12V on the other wires with the switch off and ensure ground is applied when the switch is in various positions. That should isolate the switch, wiring, and motor.

Also make sure the copper strap that grounds the motor baseplate to the firewall at the upper mounting grommet is intact.
