Question auto meter fuel gauge problem

I have a 67 car I put in a autogauge arctic white fuel gauge #atm1315,and the darn thing only falls to half or goes beyond full. Do you think I should put the resistor back behind the gauge? thanks kenny

Re: auto meter fuel gauge problem

That is the correct 90 ohm guage to work with our car's stock sending unit. It could be bad, but more likely a wiring or ground problem, or bad sender. I'm not aware of a resister for a/m fuel guages, my ultra lite guage doesn't have one and reads fine.

There is another post running now about a fuel guage problem, read that, also lots in the archives.
