Fuse question

I am finally getting around to looking at my radio and cigarette lighter on my 68. Never worked. Are these on the same fuse? Thanks.

Re: Fuse question

Not sure, and I'm too lazy to check the schematic at the moment. Do a search in the electrical forum for "Color Schematics" posted by Larry 69-er. It should show you the layout.

The easy way to tell is to use an ohm meter. Disconnect the fuse and measure the resistance between the load side of the fuse and the cig lighter. Then repeat the measurement between the fuse and the radio feed. You could also measure the resistance between the cig lighter and radio feed. If they ohm out to 0 ohms, then they are on the same circuit. It would actually be a good idea to lift one end of all the fuses in the panel, just to make sure you don't get a false reading through another circuit.

Re: Fuse question

Thanks for the plug Dave!

The radio is on the "RADIO" fuse, (accessory circuit) and the the cigarette lighter is on the "CLK LTR CTSY" fuse, (battery circuit)
