Question HEI Wiring hook up

Just got a HEI Dist. and I was hoping someone could tell me how to wire it up, what colors go where...Thanks

1. Locate the OE cloth covered wire back to the firewall connector and snip it with a 2 inch pigtail remaining and either butt connect or solder a #12 AWG lead from the connector to the HEI distributor, or
2. Run a new #12 AWG lead from the fusebox connected to an IGN switched terminal.

Hook the power lead to BAT terminal or the right front terminal, furthest away from the body. Hook tach wire to left front terminal. Hook & snap the module connector to the terminals closet to the body.

The distributor cap may be embossed with the names of the terminals. Install a good set of plug wires. I find GMPP wires work very well on my truck.
