Console gauge question?

I got my new Factory Fit harness for my 69 camaro console guage cluster. There is a yellow wire that has nothing to connect to. What is the yellow wire for? There is a black ground wire near the gauges. Does this wire attach to the gauge. If so which one? Is there a diagram on this site showing how to hook it up.
thanks

Re: Console gauge question?

yellow wire is for the low fuel module that flashes the fuel light in the dash cluster when it gets down under 1/4 full. You dont have to use it, but its pretty handy.

Re: Console gauge question?

Ok, your pic got me confused. What are the red and green wires that are connected to the post? What are those two black wires connected to? My harness didn't come with those. Are those wires on the dash harness or console harness? What do you have taped? Sorry for all the questions.
thanks
Nice picture quality!

Re: Console gauge question?

think the black wires are ground but red and green are attached to the back of the console fuel guage, it picks up the ohm reading there that sets off the yellow wire to signal the red fuel light on the dash. the AIM shows the details but not sure if it has the console wiring setup. here it is..

console wiring 68-69 auto and manual
