Dash bulbs question

I'm replacing a turn signal indicator lamp on the dash, under the tach.
When I took it apart the bulb was burned out so no problem, replace it.
My question is there are no bulbs in the other 3 sockets behind the Gen,Temp and Oil lenses.
Now I have gauges on the console, so are these warning lights deleted because of the gauges, or should they have bulbs in them and be functional ?
If so should they light up when I turn the key before I start the car?
Right now nothing comes on when I start it.
Thanks
Billy

Re: Dash bulbs question

If you have console gauges, there is no need for the warning lights.
