You should check to see what the output of the alternator is at the battery. Do not trust the dash gauge, since they tend not to be accurate. It sounds like if the battery is losing charge, there is a power drain somewhere. To locate the power drain, check all the accessories such as interior lights, cigarette lighter, radio, anything that has direct power from the battery. If you suspect a certain circuit, pull the fuse and see if the power drain stops. That is the best way to narrow the problem down.
