Post Key switch locked up -repair?

My key switch has locked up and won't return to the full off position. I can still get my key in and out. How do you change out the key switch? Do I have to remove the steering wheel and internals?

Re: Key switch locked up -repair?

I assume that you have a standard (non-adjustable) steering column. The following links to a paper and a series of drawings that describes removing and replacing the lock cylinder.

BTW, if you have a tilt column, two similar papers for that type column can be found at the same websight.
