Distributor Identification

I was informed there are specific distributor codes for year/engine application, as well as for coils.

Is there any master list stating which distributor goes with, for example, a 350 engine/TH350 tranny? Same for the coil.

I've done the Internet searches but the results are inconclusive....

Re: Distributor Identification

I guess what I should ask is: what is the proper distributor part number
for a 350/300 horse, TH350 tranny car?

I know the number beyond the part number should be the date code...

Re: Distributor Identification

There's a distributor application chart (including centrifugal and vacuum advance specs) in the specifications section at the back of every year's Chassis Service Manual; the '69 manual calls out #1111489 for a Camaro L-48 350/300 automatic.
