Exclamation camaro starter help needed!

i have a 95 camaro and when i bought the car the guy said the starter was kinda wierd and i should replace it soon because it "clicks" sometimes when i go to start it. I went out and bought a brand new starter and it still clicks sometimes like the old one. what could be the problem?

Re: camaro starter help needed!

It could be a lot of things, but probably a bad connection. I'd clean them all (battery and grounds).

Re: camaro starter help needed!

As go2fast stated, check the connections on the solenoid. If the starter is brand new, then chances are that the problem is not the solenoid but, either faulty wiring or a bad connection to the solenoid.

Re: camaro starter help needed!

I just went through this myself. Mine started out clicking and then nothing at all. I would turn the key an would even get a click. Ended up changing the ignition switch. It is located on the top of the coloumn under the dash. I would also check the wire like they said. clean them good. Is it a new or rebuild starter you bought. I can be that its not any good either.
