Fuel Guage hookup (cluster )

I have searched for this awnser with no such luck. My problem is that the wiring harness that im working with was a little chopped and frankly the guage wasent hooked up when I baught the car. I have the TAN wire connected to the rear tailight harness and now....I see no wire to hook up to the cluster hahaha. I was thinking if i should just run the wire directly back to the cluster or is there an easier way? Thanks in advance

Re: Fuel Guage hookup (cluster )

look up past the ebrake. You'll see the rear harness that goes back to the trunk running down behind the kick panel. There is a connector there, you may have to pull the harness up a lil to find it. Your tan wire will be there.

Re: Fuel Guage hookup (cluster )

If the plug in for the Cluster panel is all hacked up, you might want to replace the entire under dash harness to avoid problems down the road.

Like Jim said......the tan wire is in the tail light harness that connects to the main harness just above the E-brake handle.

I'm wondering why it was cut in the first place? What were they thinking?
