factory tach in 67?

i would like to install a factory 350 tach in my 67 non tach dash , does this require a wire harness modification or just run a seperate wire from my msd box and ground the tach unit?
also thinking about a descrete place to hide an after market fuel guage to repalce the dash mounted unit because i dont have original console mounted guages and im tring to keep the interior as stock looking as possible
if any one has done this on a 67 id like your input
