Temp sensor for electric fan

Hey guys,

I just picked up an electric fan for my 350. The guy that sold it to me said that I could get a fan switch from GM (or the parts house) to turn it on. What should I ask for when I go to purchace it.( year and make). Also It came with hardware to mount it directly to the rad. I made a bracket and it mounts about an inch from the rad. Which way do you think is better? I am afraid if I mount it directly to the radiator, it will rub a hole in it.

Check in the electrical forum. There is a good thread over there.
