My camaro is driving me crazy.

My 91 camaro won't start. It turns over. I replaced the distributer and plugs. A friend told me it was the ignition system. I don't know what to do. any suggestions.

Re: My camaro is driving me crazy.

Need a little more info!

Is it getting fuel to the carb?

Is it electronic ignition or do you have an external coil?

Re: My camaro is driving me crazy.

If your 91 is stock, do a search on VATs... Are you getting any lights ( engine, security, ??? ).. ALso, make sure that there are no open vacuum lines and that all connectors ( at least the ones you can see ) are attached.

Re: My camaro is driving me crazy.

Need more info about the car engine size, TPI or TBI. Did you do an engine scan to see if there are any trouble codes stored in the ECM?

Re: My camaro is driving me crazy.

I wouldn't be worried about trouble codes at this moment. Is the car even trying to start, or just winding over? First you need to do the basic checks,, see why it isn't starting. Pull a plug wire and hold it near the plug and have a friend crank it over. Does it spark? If so Check for fuel . When you find out if it's fuel or fire you are missing (assuming its not compression, as it most likely is not) message me if you like or post it on here, and you can go from there. A bit of other info will help as well, such as engine size, etc. but either way,, you gotta start at the start. Lemme know, Jeff
