front turn lamp/fixture

The front turn signal lamp on my 68 RS is not working. Looking at both the shop manual and the car, it is unclear if the bulb separates from the fixture. (The lamp is located under the front bumper)

It is also unclear how to get the two bolts that hold the fixture in place, out without taking apart the entire front end of the car. (The hide-away headlight mechanism is in the way).

All four of my Camaro books + the assembly manual don’t offer much help.

Any suggestions how to get the bulb out and/or remove the fixture?

Re: front turn lamp/fixture

Hi,

You do not have to remove the entire fixture. There are two screws that go thru the lens. Remove the lens and you will have access to the bulb. It's pretty easy to get to. Hope that this helps.

Re: front turn lamp/fixture

Ok, thanks. I removed the screws and the lens seemed like it didn't want to come out. Thats when I started looking at other methods. I'll try your suggestion again and hope I can get it out without breaking it.
