LT1 Alternator alternatives

I am interested in alternatives to the huuuge (Gen II) LT1 alternator.
I would like to find something that I can use on the stock bracket that is less ... big..

I picked up a set of cast aluminum bowtie valvecovers that I would really like to use on my motor. Alternator is in the way

Any feedback is appreciated

Re: LT1 Alternator alternatives

A smaller alternator will require that the mounting bracket be modified. teh one on my '89 S-10 is a small one. You may also be able to move the alternator up (if there is hood clearance), you will need a longer belt.
