Need to know how to bypass VATS for 91 camaro

My 92 corvette had the VATs system in it. Basically the pellet in the key is a resistor. All you have to do is measure the resistance and then buy a resistor of that value. You then simply wire in the resistor permanently which requires you to know how to get into the steering column. Thats a nasty job by itself but the good news is you dont have to go down to far into the column.

Thanks for info finally figured out that the resister is looping to the VATS and wires from ignition are not hooked backup spent 3 days on a 30 minute job!
car cranks now and cost me $3.39 cents
