Brown Heater Wire

Hi all, spent some time yesterday removing my old heater wiring harnesses. Just wondering, on my 68 it seems as though the heater harness was fed by a Brown wire. Since I am not going to replace any of that stuff (Anytime soon). Would it be possible to run my electric choke off of that wire. It seems to be 12Volts switched.

Thanks
Chris

Re: Brown Heater Wire

You could or you can just run a wire from the IGN terminal on the fuseblock.

Re: Brown Heater Wire

If it's 12v "key on", and I assume ahead of the blower switch, it should work fine. I used the wire that used to operate the anti-diesel solenoid. Now I have a chokeless Holley.
