powermaster 9400 starter

I just aquired a power master 9400 starter from a friend. It doesn't have any instructions with it. It is supposed to hook up to either the 153 or 168 tooth flywheel? I have the samller one. I only see 4 bolt holes in a traight pattern? Does it only bolt up 1 way? I am waiting for a new solenoid to arrive before I try and install it since the car is currently running.

Re: powermaster 9400 starter

The 9400 works with either the 153- or 168-tooth flywheel; that's why it has two pair of mounting holes. You use the inboard pair for the big flywheel, and the outboard pair for the smaller flywheel.
