69 console harness questions

Hello, still tryin to find my problem Does anybody know if the pink connector for temp and fuel gauges is 12V when you turn the key on? This would be checking the harness under dash with no gauges hook to it! Thanks if you can help! Jimi

Re: 69 console harness questions

Yes, it does.

The pink wire is the output of the "guages" fuse, it provides power to those 2 guages, plus the tach, ebrake light, & low fuel light.

Re: 69 console harness questions

Thanks Jim, Iam not getting any voltage reading at the temp or fuel pin? So there has to be a break in the wire from the harness to the fuse box right? I do have voltage at the fusebox that runs the console gauges, Where would my problem be?? Thanks Again Jimi

Re: 69 console harness questions

bad connection where the console harness plugs into the dash harness maybe?
Does your ebrake warning light work, it uses the same power source

Re: 69 console harness questions

Thanks, I do not know if the ebrake warning works? Are you talking about the brake light on the left side of the dash?
