how to replace 67 ignition switch ?

I have the new switch,,,and was able to get the chrome bezel lose on the dash side,,,,but it only un-screws so far. Is the a trick to getting the front chrome rings off?

Remove the inner lock cylinder with the key and a paper clip.

You need to remove the lock cylinder first. Insert the key and turn it counterclockwise to the ACC position. Insert a small wire (paper clip) into the small hole in the cylinder to depress a button inside the switch. With the button depressed turn the key and cylinder counterclockwise beyond the ACC position. The cylinder will now come out and you will be able to remove the bezel and the switch.
