Unhappy 69 console temp gauge not working

i have hooked up my console gauges and they all work but the temp gauge. so i bought a new gauge and it does not work either. when i bought the original gauges they were already hooked up in there cluster and were ready to bolt to console. i have a new sending unit on the block, new console harness for the gauges and now 2 new temp gauges. all the lights work, safty neutral works, fuel gauge, oil, amp and low fuel lights work so i think i have it all hooked up correct but temp does not work. HELp!!!!

Re: 69 console temp gauge not working

What type of sending unit did you get. It needs to be for the console gauge package. You don't have any resistor across the terminals do you. Are your gauges original or OER.

Re: 69 console temp gauge not working

Whats your temp. gauge doing when you turn the key on? If you ground you sending unit wire the gauge should peg hot. Let us know. Brad
