67 RS taillights... which is which???

How are the inner and outer lenses on 67 RS taillights supposed to function? Which serves as taillight, turn signal, brake light? My wiring is all hacked up and none of the rear lights are working right. It's been like that since I've had the car so I'm not sure what the right setup is. Thanks!

Re: 67 RS taillights... which is which???

on a 67-68 rs, there are 2 bulbs in each tail light assy. Both bulbs are twin filament type, and all four function as tail lights, stop lights, and turn signals.

Most common cause for 67-68 tail lights not working tight is bad grounds. They ground thru the mounting studs and nuts, too much new paint will keep em from working right. Try some star washers under some of the nuts, it'll cut thru the paint and get a connection.
