68 Camaro Wiring Questions

**Updated With Working URLs to pictures**

Can anyone tell me what these wires are supposed to connect up to? These come out of the harness under the dash, between the ignition and the radio in the dash:

I've got a 68 Camaro (convertible) and am in the process of removing a lot of creative wiring under the dash, including after market guages and what not, replacing the steering column, etc. The car has an automatic shifter on the floor. Everything (Brake lights, blinkers, horn etc) currently "works" except for the back up lights- (because nothing is currently wired to the Neutral Safety Switch). I'm trying to return the wiring as close to stock as possible and having mixed success reading the factory wiring diagrams.

Can anyone tell me what these wires do and what they are supposed to connect up to?

These come out of the harness under the dash, between the ignition and the radio on the dash:

Purple and Purple w/ White (connect to side of neutral safety switch)
White/Orange (courtesy light behind ashtray in center console
Pink/Green (reverse lights - connect to bottom of neutral safety switch)
Grey (???)

These are between the fuse box and the emergency break and should run back to the rear body harness:

Light Green (back up lights?)
Dark Green (Left Right blinker)
Brown (break lights)
Brown (tail lights)
Blue (???)

Re: 68 Camaro Wiring Questions

Chrislwhite, the grey wire is the lights for the shifter plate. You are right the Light green is the backup lights. You should have a yellow for right turn signal and a 20 tan for fuel gauge, a 14 orange and 20 white for overhead light plus a 18 tan from light switch to override the door switch, 20 brown for running lights , and the brake light work off of the turn signals. There is no blue. Good luck Jerry
