LED lights

I purchased a couple LED's from autolumination.com..

to use in the overhead dome and rear of the console. When trying them in the console, no light was produced and one first one caused a small spark. The other I tried by quickly inserting and then trying again flipping around 180. Same thing, it made a little snap and no light at all either way. I don't think the bulb casing was arching anywhere since I had the rear console lens out while doing this and the wires/brackets looked good. It worked fine both before and after this with the old incandescent bulb. Could this be a problem with the car or is it the bulb?

Re: LED lights

That 'rectangular case' has a metallic paint on it. It will cause an ark. They only work ONE WAY, so you have to test both ways. Hold in your door light button to keep interior lights off until you get the bulb inserted and seated well where its not touching the casing.

Re: LED lights

yes, I tested them both ways and not in the dome but in the console with the lens out so there wasn't anything around to arch onto.
