2003 Ford F250 Electrical problem......

Asking for info for a friend out-of-town in Mobile Al.......Instant problem - no radio and no power windows. Fuses checked and good. Replaced the Accessory relay and to no avail. Uses personal truck everyday.

Other symtoms -
Cargo box light stays on.
No manual ON of dome & courtesy lights.

Any advice? Thanks, Everett

Re: 2003 Ford F250 Electrical problem......

I wonder how much of the things you listed go through the GEM module (or if it even has one of those) ?.
With multiple problems (and I'm thinking on different area's of the truck like constant voltages, ignition voltages, and so on) I wonder too if maybe two things happened like lost a ground or a plug has come undone. I know a lot of trucks position the harness' and wiring to where people with size 12 shoes have a hard time hitting things but it's not perfect.
I wonder if you can get someone that can show or link to a wiring diagram (like from alldata I think it is) to see if there are some constant connections and/or devices that would tie all of the symptoms together and narrow down the search.

Re: 2003 Ford F250 Electrical problem......

that GEM module was in my orig. post link, i've had simmilar problems with my 01 f-350, strangely enough i soaked the door latch with WD40 and it solved my cargo lamp problem. that ford site that i left a link to has lots of trouble shooting info, hopefully enough to get your friend back home

Re: 2003 Ford F250 Electrical problem......

Thank you, guys, Yes, Mike, I did see the GEM and mentioned it to my friend.
He did the WD40 trick to the door and got the cargo light to work better.

I did pass along the site for him to view.
