Cool 93 Wiper Mystery

I've got a 93 camaro in which the wipers first began to move very slowly - then finally stopped entirely. They would occasionally jerk slightly back and forth, but that's about it. I figured it was either the motor or the controller on the motor. So I replaced the motor and now the wipers will twitch again, but still do not go back and forth. They do not respond to the switch at all regardless of what position it is turned. The wipers only twitch slightly when the key is turned to ON. So it appears that the problem is not the motor or control unit on the motor. What else would cause this? A short in the switch perhaps? Any ideas are welcome.

Re: 93 Wiper Mystery

sounds like a short in wiring circuit.

Re: 93 Wiper Mystery

Ok, my next question is, where do the wiper circuits run, just from the steering column switch through the dash to the motor? Or are they run through an alternate path. Just looking for the best places to start checking for a short. Thanks!
