69 clock gaining time

Is there an adjustment on my dash mounted clock to + or - the time? Gains about 3min per 24hr. period.
Thanks in advance.

Re: 69 clock gaining time

Don't believe there is. They do make a quartz replacment that uses all your hardware (hands) and works great. I have one on my 69. Bought it at Classic Ind for about $70. Uses same wire harness.

Re: 69 clock gaining time

On a clock I have for a 69-74 Nova I think there is an adjustment on them. Here's a picture of what I "think" is the adjuster. There is a small slotted circle behind the punched out hole in the metal casing. Now if this is the adjuster who knows if a tad clockwise or counter clockwise makes it go faster or slower and how much of a rotation gives a certain percentage of increase or decrease. Might be one of those things to put it on a test bench and try some things over the period of a few days or weeks.

Hey Jim, the picture is not showing up. I just wanted to find out before I pulled it out.

Re: 69 clock gaining time

I just looked at this thread this morning and I am seeing it. I'll post in in another area to see if you can view it.

Try this (and you might have to copy and paste):

or this:

or go to webshots.com and look under my user name ( Custom_Jimmy ) and once you get to my albums look under electrical and it's the last photo in that album.

OR if all else fails, e-mail me and I can send it directly to you.
