No. 1 position on points distributor

I am putting a 1969 Camaro back together with the original 327, 210 horse engine. Does anyone know exactly where the factory started the firing sequence (i.e. before the window, or between the window and vacuum can)? Thanks for anyones info.

Between the window and the vacuum can is number 1.

Firing order is 18436572 and as stated # 1 is left of the access door on on a old points distributor. On the new caps I start with # 1 in the front center left.
