New wiper mototr question ???
I'm in the process of relocating my wiper motor to the outer fender well. I have a new motor and switch. I had it all wired up on the bench last night to make sure the motor was in the parked position before I start to modify the wiper linkage. The motor eran fine in both speeds. Well when I turned off the motor it kept running. It slowed down a bit like it was goig to stop. But then kept going.
If I put some pressure on the arm that is attached to the motor I can get it to stop. So I was wondering is this simply an issue of not having the drag of the wipers to stop it. Or is there a defect with this new motor?? I'm thinking that this new motor has a problem and should stop regardless of it being connected to the wiper linkage.
