quick painless wiring question... what is this wire?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone knew what the tan wire went to? Im almost positive that the blue one goes to the wipers since thats the only place it reaches but I cant seem to find where the tan one goes... any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Re: quick painless wiring question... what is this wire?

which tan one are ya talkin' about??
there should be quite a few of them.

#909 Tan Low Beam Dimmer Switch
#917 Tan Inside - Foot Lever Switch Emergency Brake
#972 Tan Outside - Low Pressure Switch Emergency Brake
#903 Tan Cigarette Lighter
#970 Tan Instrument Panel Brake Warning Light
#909 Tan Low Beam Headlight Section

all of the wires in Painless harness should be numbered...

Re: quick painless wiring question... what is this wire?

That Blue could also be the oil pressure sending wire, if Painless follows normal convention. Aren't the wiper motor wires grouped in the painless harness?

The tan in your photo looks like the brake warning switch wire. It looks like a round terminal, to fit over the post on the switch in the background of the photo.

Glad I got American Autowire...

oops, I forgot to say its under the hood (I had written the post then my computer screwed up). Its about 9 inches long and its not numbered on the wire (like every other wire is). however, I think it might be wire 972... that wasnt listed in the instructions I have. Thanks for the help!!

yep, the one in your picture is for the Brake warning switch... round terminal should push over connector on brake dist. block.
