He is two hours from me. I know there are several members here that live within an hour of him maybe they offer some assistance.

How long has it been since you sent the m.o. and last heard from him? You can check to see if it has been cashed at the usps website.

I don't know either one of you, and I'm not taking anyone's side here, but before everyone suggests what jims66ss should do, including calling out local posses, how about a little more info, Jim? Like; You bought this... when? You sent the MO...when? You've tried to contact him...how? How many times? Did he ever respond? What did he say?

Get the idea?

I'm sure it's been a while since this went down, but you're basically calling someone dishonest without even explaining ANY freakin' details. That's a serious accusation. I haven't checked his membership history, but I see you've posted a grand total of 8 times. Slow down and regroup, and then maybe someone can help you when they have more details.

Welcome Wagon was not a good place for this, I moved it here to Site Discussion... You should also notify Al directly via PM.

Being it's the holidays I sure would be more patient, the sellers made other sales without problem. Maybe the guy is in the hospital or his PC crashed! As others have asked, you haven't provided any details at all and it's only been a day or so over 3 weeks since the ad was posted...

Unhappy Re: help with a scammer

I replied to a ad posted by Dave Stelmachoski (user name so fine 69) on Nov. 8th for a 1969 Comfort Grip steering wheel he was selling. We agreed on a price of $291.00.

I sent him a cashier's check for $291.00 on Nov. 15th, which he cashed on Nov. 19th., which I have photocopies off.

I've sent him 2 emails since, he has not responded to either of them, even listed a toll free phone number for him to call me.

At this point, what options do I have about resolving this issue?

Re: help with a scammer

I think there is indeed a problem. I sent him an admin email and no answer.

Just posted a notice in the classifieds asking for those who might have dealt with him to contact me.
