way to block 'spam' posts?

i've been on here for awhile now, and my only complaint is that some 'paid sponsors' have overextended their welcome. i'm a paying member and i don't particularly want to hear any of their 'spam'. is there a way to let them post their junk without paying members being bothered with it?

Re: way to block 'spam' posts?

Is it that you dont want to see their advertisements in the Sponsors forum? Easy fix...dont visit the forum.
Or is it that you dont like to see their posts in the "Latest Tech" area on the front page? For me, i could care less. Those are few and far between.

I like the sponsors we have for the most part. They add to discussions and they give decent discounts to members. Paid or not.

Not being flip, Just adding to your discussion.

i appreciate your addition. what i don't like is when a 'sponsor' (who can get away with anything) is allowed to jump a threat and say whatever they want without regard to fact in order to sell something.

Re: way to block 'spam' posts?

Hi John. The sponsors should be held to the same standards as everyone else. We ask that announcements and products are posted in the sponsor forum and are a bit more liberal as to replying to posts with information that directly applies to the question.

If otherwise, email me and I"ll look into things: [email protected] - I don't see all the posts that I used to so could easily be missing something.
We are hoping to have more sponsors, direct involvement and discounts for members this year.
