I just read that they were sent out last week and it could take between 6-10 weeks!! I think I read that correctly?

The only problem with user cp method is it doesn't give you the $30 option to upgrade for active members.

Re: Membership renewel question??

After reading all the hassles guys are having with trying to upgrade from a 1 year membership to lifetime for $30 and then seeing that the thread explaining how to do it was closed I changed my mind. So instead I was planning to do the 1 year renewal this morning until I saw the little fine print thing about it being automatically renewed every year if I click on that. Sorry guys but I am NOT allowing them to take money from my Paypal account once a year without my OK. If there is a way to renew for ONE year without allowing them to do that I'd like to know how. Or I will go ahead with the $30 lifetime deal if I can be sure it's not gonna take 3 months to show up. I could care less about the decal. If they don't want me to do any free advertising by having their name on my car why should I worry about it.

Mark it's Sunday, these are forums not a chat room and not everyone is online 24/7. Have some patience and try not being so insulting, the site may be owned by a company but it's people like you and I that we have to communicate with and people don't respond in kind to being told they have their heads... Well you know you said it!

Believe what you want but the powers (persons) between the company and the user base here have gotten a lot of issues resolved for the membership. It does take time though because the guy that made the decision to make the change may not even logon to this site...

Like I said, have patience and tone it down, if someone told you where your head was would you want to help them?

...Dennis

Re: Membership renewel question??

Dennis thanks and I did edit out that part of my post. I understand it's the weekend but the last guy to ask about this stuff asked on Dec 30th and still hasn't gotten an answer. Meanwhile everytime I log on there's a big message across the top of the screen telling me it's time to renew..

Do you know for a fact that he wasn't answered and taken care of via PM or email? Not saying he was, it's just a probability because sometimes AutoForums management likes to handle things in private. BTW. thanks for editing your post, that shows integrity even when I know you're probably frustrated.

Chris it's entirely possible that it was handled via PM but that only helps one guy when the rest of us might want an answer to the very same questions. I've sent an email reply to the tech in response to an email I recieved from them (whoever it is) that I recieved reminding me that it was time to renew. I guess I'll want for a reply.
