Unable to use "back" button

After upgrading to IE 9 it appears that after im in the forums for awhile or when browsing searched criteria, the "back" button seems to quit responding. Anyone else experiencing this or do I have something going on with my PC?

Re: Unable to use "back" button

I'm not using IE 9 yet and I still have this problem. If you click the little arrow next the the "back" button it shows where you have just recently been. I always have at least two "google adds" in between where I am and where I want to go back to. If you bypass the google adds that way, you can go backwards. Sorry, not sure what cause is or what the fix is, but it's not just you. Hopefully someone "in the know" will be able to help.

Yes several sites including google services use javscripting tools that refresh you right back to their page. The NO SCRIPT add in for firefox works very well at killing all sorts of browsing pests. I don't use IE for anything other then work related applications.

Searches do expire because new posts can come along during the time you search and that will make the back button not take you back but there should be a message letting you know the search timed out. If that's not the case case it might be ad.click stuff and if you click and hold the back button you will see the ad.click links. I don't think that is what you are seeing because I tried viewing the forums after logging out and didn't find any ad.click links and my back button worked fine.

Test to be sure it's happening on other sites as well and if so start looking at all the tunable settings, the new browser probably got defaulted to a different setting when you configured it after the upgrade...
