Command tabs not showing up?

Top red bar acting "funky". I have noticed this on my iPhone lately, but thought it was just an iThing. When I first log on to Team Camaro, the words don't appear in the tabs on the upper red line. On my phone they appear blank, but on my computer they show what looks like a broken image icon:

Partial screen shot from a few minutes ago:

Sorry I don't know the correct terminology for that red bar.

Re: Command tabs not showing up?

FWIW, once I click what should be the "Forum" tab, everything is back to normal.

Re: Command tabs not showing up?

You're not the only one to see that happen.

The AF admins implemented a site survey about a week ago, and I suspect it has something to do with that. It's a pop-up, but you should only see the pop-up once.
Brent, do you ever Log Out and log back in? Try logging out completely and see if it fixes it.
That'll clear the site cookies.

Re: Command tabs not showing up?

I tired logging out. It said "all cookies cleared", but when I logged back in I still had the same issue.

Try to clear your cache/temp files, then reload the site. The menu bar buttons are images, and java script so your security settings in the browser or virus protection maybe preventing them from downloading if tracking is turned off.

Re: Command tabs not showing up?

I don't use Java (disabled) and I have 3 tracking blockers running.
I still see them.
DjD said he's having the same issue in IE. Maybe he has some insight.

Re: Command tabs not showing up?

My IE is fine, it's my smart phone that the top tab bar shows up as question marks instead of the "Index", "Forums", "Classifieds" etc...

Even though it's text they are graphic files so the color changes when you mouse over. If you look at Brent's screen capture he's getting broken or missing graphics shown. I believe the question marks are my phones browser's way of reporting the same.

I suspect it's something in the naming convention of the graphic's, this one is - navbar_b5_over.gif or the coding that does the mouse over that our browsers don't like.

Edit: it has to be the mouse over code as I can see the graphic above on my phone just fine. It hasn't always been this way, Joe maybe get with Alan and see what has changed! I'm seeing a lot of little things that indicate someone is dabbling with things...

Are you using IE? If so check if you're in compatibility mode. Although I think this is an issue with the forum scripts misbehaving.

I am not seeing the issue on FF and Chrome on my desktop but when I use Chrome on my IPhone I do. I am going to report the issue to the techs and see what is up.

Chrome on my phone is fine on here.
Maybe it's a version thing.

Re: Command tabs not showing up?

I'm using IE on two different computers and get that same screen image I posted above.

I'm using Safari on my iPhone and get the blank tabs instead of the broken images:

Hmmmm...
Threw Chrome on my home PC and you're right... that bar shows up as broken graphics. I'll try FF when I get home later. Gotta go Xmas shopping....

Cool. Vintage Air is at the top of my list. If you need more ideas, let me know.

Gift cards for everyone!!!

In FF I get large blue text words instead of the small clickable white text.

Re: Command tabs not showing up?

We're still looking into the issue. I noticed today when I went on my Iphone I could not see the Tabs but once I logged into the forum the issue went away.

Hopefully I'll have an update for you later today.
