Lots of problems lately

For the past couple of weeks, I've noticed the site has been loading very slowly with multiple pauses and page failures. I'm not having the same problems with any other websites.

I'm not sure if anyone else has had the same problems, but I thought I would mention it to the site administrators.

I've noticed the same thing but thought it was related to the painful transition to Frontier from Verizon

Bill - what browser and version number and what operating system? Also check your Java version and flash versions. Both have had recent updates for security and performance issues.

Same here, I'm on the latest version of Firefox, Win 10, all current updated add-ons.

Very slow at times.

Re: Lots of problems lately

It's terrible anymore. Some days it's really bad, I can hardly submit a post because it locks up and freezes, it won't go back to a previous page, etc. It's terrible.
Doesn't make a difference if I'm my work tablet with a great Wireless connection, my home PC with a fiber Conection or my smart phone. It's been really bad since the changes. I don't get on here as much because of it.

Re: Lots of problems lately

Again please post your browser, its version , your operating system version so we can try to identify the issue.
In any event you must update your browser to current supported release, and be using the newest version of java, and flash in order to avoid issues caused by recent security updates to prevent hacking. It also helps to purge your temporary files in the cache.

Not sure it's on your end. While I am here on the ipad I am on vtwin forum with the PC and it's showing up there too. I think I can say it's only doing it on interactive forums irrespective of log in.

Re: Lots of problems lately

Windows 10 on my work surface, Google on my PC, Google Chrome on my phone. I know that of the 3-4 forums I will visit this is the only one I have issues with. Yellowbullet which is autoforums is fine, and of course speedtalk which is not autoforums (which is so nice, no ads, no crap, just good old forum).

If you are a registered member (paid levels) you should be loading less overhead.

If you use firefox regardless of your paid level with ad block plus and the no script add-ons you wont see any ads at all.

I pretty regularly do that on all my devices, so that's not it. Maybe it's just the way it is now. It does seem worse early afternoon ( pacific time) so maybe it's a traffic thing.
