Hiding Admin-deleted threads?

I suspect I'm being a newbie here, but when browsing the forums there are a lot of threads (i'm assuming spam etc) that have been deleted by an unregistered user, but which are still visible to me.

Is there a way of making these deleted threads invisible/hidden? It would make browsing a lot easier, thanks!

Re: Hiding Admin-deleted threads?

If deleted by unregistered they are posts/threads that have been moved and the forward to the new location has expired. In order to keep a trail the folks running the forums disabled the delete function leaving only soft delete for the moderators and n the process created the move problem. I don't think there is a way to make them not show.

Re: Hiding Admin-deleted threads?

Hey Mike - We can ask the site design team to filter out these deleted and moved tagged threads from the forum listings for non mod or admins.

Jeff is that possible to code into the new skin for supporting members who are not also moderators or admins not to see any deleted or moved threads in the listing for a forum?

Re: Hiding Admin-deleted threads?

I added some code in the back end, and now the "Deleted by Unregistered" will no longer show.

That should do it. Let me know if anything else crops up in regards to this.

If you still see them, let me know which skin you are using.

Thanks,
- JB

Re: Hiding Admin-deleted threads?

I am using the Forum default skin, but did try changing to classic previously, but it was still doing it on that.

However, I can confirm they've gone now, so thanks for digging into that!
