Scrolling is very jumpy

Why is scrolling on this site so jumpy? No other site does this.

If you hit a thread with a lot of pics it jumps around loading them all.

Are you in a PC, Mac, iOS device?

Re: Scrolling is very jumpy

PC Internet Explorer 11 in a long thread as I scroll down it lags behind me quite a bit. Will not use Chrome, I am not a Google supporter.

Are you running the site with Compatibility Mode on? Give that a try and it might improve it some, but since Edge was released, IE 11 is falling further and further behind as Microsoft moves on.

Have you tried Firefox? Not Microsoft and the site should run well with it.

Re: Scrolling is very jumpy

I am on the hotrodders.com web site a lot and have been for a long time and I do not have the scrolling problem. That site is much busier than Camaros.net. It has to be something with this site.

It can also be that items - advertising most likely - are still loading as you are scrolling down and that changes the "landscape" as you move, once an item finally loads and takes its placeholder all test on the page shifts. Flush your cached internet temp files and your java cache from control panel and see if that makes life easier.

Chrome is not a secure browser. It was designed as spyware to snoop your browsing habits and feed them to Google to pin-point advertising to you. Many flaws in its code and Google has abandoned several platforms as not profitable. Use FireFox or Opera on Windows XP, 7x, 8x, 10x. Or use IE11 on 7x,8x, and corporate builds of 10x where Edge is not allowed.

Re: Scrolling is very jumpy

Vince, I just fixed the same issue after my computer crashed. Go to the internet options in IE11 (gear icon, internet options). Click on the Advanced tab (upper right). Locate the "use smooth scrolling" option and turn it off. It's the last option under "Browsing" category. Hope this helps cause it's damn frustrating.
