Titles - How Assigned?

A non-technical question out of pure curiosity. I've often wondered where the titles (or whatever they are called) under members user names come from. Some are obvious like "Administrator" or "Moderator", titles given to those who control the site (thanks for your time doing that by the way), but how about "Apprentice", "Probationator", "Tech" or "Sr. Tech", etc. Are these titles assigned, do members give themselves titles, how does this work?

Re: Titles - How Assigned?

Those titles are related to your post counts. The higher the count, the different titles you receive.

Here is a list of titles.

Probationer - 1 post
Apprentice - 10 posts
Tech Team - 30 posts
Senior Tech - 100 posts

Thanks!
JB
