photobucket grrrr

Anybody know a way to download several photos a time off photobucket? At one time you download an album at time. I have a few thousand pics on there and the only way I see to do it is to pull one pic at a time... And they throw in about 3 pop ups between every click. pita... I'd like to put them on flicker or another host that I can share.

I didn't even realize you could actually still access/download them unless you paid them the ransom money. If that company had ANY decency, they'd give people a 30-day window to download all their pictures. I'd pay $1.00/day for that right LOL. I haven't got thousands of pictures there but I would love to get them and just transfer them back to one of my network drives at home.

I've been waiting almost 6 months to edit a Sticky here... I've kinda resolved myself to digging back into my files and re-doing the entire thread.

Shad, Try opening the pic and right click on it. If the copy
function shows up just copy it and paste it into the flickr
download area or into a folder on your computer. PB may
have the copy function blocked but worth a try.

Re: photobucket grrrr

Shad, I just tried this and it works. If the pics you want are
here on TC. Download Google Chrome if you don't already
have it. Fire up Chrome and download the fix. Then log into
TC and find your thread(s). Most of the
pics should show. Right click on the pic and select "save
image as" function. This will get them on your computer.
Here's a thread with the link to the fix.

Re: photobucket grrrr

Photobucket compresses the images. If you still have the original file, it would be better to use it when you upload an old photo to the new website.

Shad, just three popups? One time I counted seven of them before I could do anything. You would think all the advertisements that we are forced to endure would be enough punishment to be able to use their site for free.

Don't delete the photos off of Photobucket. Fill up their hard disks.

Yeah, I need to sit down one rainy day and just go through and find all my old pics. Thought it'd be easier to pull them off photobucket than sifting through my pics on my iphone. I currently have right at 18,000 pics on my iphone. So it'd take a while to weed out what I wanted.

Re: photobucket grrrr

Shad I can't imagine sorting through 18k pics on a iPhone.
Cable it to your computer and download them. A lot easier
to deal with pics on a computer.
