Lost and found forum ??

I thought I saw a referance to a Lost and Found forum a short time ago where we could post or look for matching number parts for these cars. I don't see anything now, so is there a specific forum to list a transmission in ??

...67 Camaro, ss/rs LA built driver/project
...66 Chevelle SS, Atlanta built 138 driver/project
...69 C10, cab and clip may end up on the '89 rollback

Re: Lost and found forum ??

Do a search. It is a new website that a member here did. It is not directly associated with this site. If you have a car and are looking for parts, I'd suggest posting a date range and partial vin, let the whole vin come to you. While this is a fantastic idea and a great implementation of it, the potential for abuse is unfortunately huge.

Re: Lost and found forum ??

I was more interested in listing the trans in my car for the original car. I thought it might be a early 396 Camaro trans...

Re: Lost and found forum ??

I "think" listing the whole vin of a part would be safe. Just ask for a pic of the car's vin plate and trim tag if you wanna be sure where it's going.

Re: Lost and found forum ??

I found the site Jim...thanks. I want to determine what car line the trans came from before I list it. I have a thread in the transmission forum , but not much help on it yet.

Re: Lost and found forum ??

Over at Camaros.org they have a "orphans" section in the CRG Forums button located down on the main page near the bottom..it is also a good place to post what you have. Just found that one this week. They have them separated by year too... Ron
