There's another one X77 three ads previous, but not in the title to the add. I'm not sure how to link the add though. I think the ads Titled as 186 heads etc.....

Re: Trim tag in our classifieds?

Its a "Trim Tag" guys, you'd think I'd voilated the Virgin Mary for goodness sake!! Let me just say this for the record, I don't see any offense in selling a trim tag no different than selling a DZ302 motor, a ZL-1 427 motor or any other speciality item. Its what someone does with it afterwords that can be offensive. The point is installing a X-coded trim tag on a plain janer camaro and calling it a "recreation, replica or clone car" is in my opinion no different than taking a X-44 base model camaro and installing your big block, adding some decals and calling it a "recreation, replica or clone car" Yenko or COPO?? Its a TRIM TAG for gosh sake, A trim tag does not make the car as anyone who knows anything about muscle cars, theres many other facts that must be on the vehical to make it what it is and the trim tag is only a starting place.........Does placing a "472" intake and a set of finned valve covers on my 350 motor make it a DZ302?? It may look like a Z motor but we all know its not........Whats the difference.......Get over yourselves and off your high horses, its just a what it is a simple Trim Tag. Gotta love America and freedom of speech, all that said camaros.net is the greatess website on the internet and I'll refrain from relisting the trim tag so that I'm not to offend any of the bed weters and keep them up at night! XXOO........

Re: Trim tag in our classifieds?

WOAA Yankit easy there .... first you best go visit our Bench and Tag section and use the search function, type in Cowl Tag or Trim Tag and read what the flavor of the majority of folks in here have expressed. I can tell you, you are in a small majority when it comes to selling trim tags. Most of us consider it a way for the 'bad guys' to cheat a novice or unsuspecting person into buying a car that is NOT what it is being promoted as. Some trim tags are taken as gosple by innocent buyers, so most of us contend, "Why help the tag sellers that MIGHT screw a buyer"?
An engine doesnt make a Z a true Z but some trim tags do and thats the rub. Sure its not illegal at the Federal level but too many bad guys are ripping off buyers daily on ebay and then the poor buyer comes here all proud about his new camaro, only to find out it is NOT what he thought he bought. Yes buyer beware, but we dont have to help the thieves either. You might be one of the honest people but nobody can tell the intentions of another person by their internet name so, we dont want to encourage anyone to rip off someone else, plain and simple. Now you can get off your high horse and hope you dont wet the bed either. just my 2 cents worth.

Re: Trim tag in our classifieds?

hey, nothing malicious was said about you or the tag. No reason to get fluffed up. It was merely reported and removed as per normal around here.

We chose not to have trim tags for sale on our popular and free classifieds.

That's all there is to it.
