Unable to edit past messages.

I am trying to edit an old message I left on this message board from back in January and I noticed the "edit" function has disappeared from the post. I am "logged in" when I try to do it. It works for new posts but for old posts the function must disappear after a certain amount of time. I notifiied 2 moderators on this board regarding the problem but have since not heard back from them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Unable to edit past messages.

There is a time out on the edit function which explains why you couldnt change something, is this a new issue? Your previous pm's for editing were forwarded and handled as far as I know, if not, let me know again in PM.

Re: Unable to edit past messages.

As Jim mentioned, there is a time limit to edit the topics.

We've had some uncomfortable situations where retractions/edits were done months later that made the followup posts senseless. Edits can be done, but should go through a moderator after that time period, that way we keep continuity to the old topic - or it can be removed.
