Do I have to take off the door panel to install the door speakers in my 2001 camaro z28? If so could I get instructions on how to do that. Sounds stupid, but Im a chick.

Re: speakers

Hi Justine, your post in the interior section will probably get the best results, but remember this is mostly a first generation camaro site, 67-68-69... some folks migh have experience with your year camaro and they will post if they can. Its preferred you only post the same question in one of the sections (interior) so that the replies dont get split up. Wish I could help but I dont own a 2001 car.

Re: speakers

yes door pnl comes off to make sure you wont have clearance issues etc.
you cant just cut a hole in the pnl without looking behind it.

Re: speakers

yes your door panel comes off and a 6.5 inch speaker will house in the bottom of the door. if there is a clearence issue with the speakers your wantting to put in. there is a basket that holds the speakers that can be modified or a spacer added to the front side of it to give you more dept for clearence.
