Time outs seems much too short

Is there a setting I need to check or something? It seems that if I leave the forum for what seems like a fairly short period of time to go do something else and then come back, my login expires and I'm forever re-logging in. What is the time-out period?
Thanks.

I haven't had to log in in months.....Sounds like you have a problem with the site cookie on your computer.

Re: Time outs seems much too short

Could be a cookies issue ... But I have other sites that I stay logged into until I go and delete all my cookies. I just thought that is some sort of built in securty stuff that the webmasters came up with.
Thanks for the response though.

Re: Time outs seems much too short

I doubt it's a site security issue. I have 2 computers at home that I view this site on, and 2 at work and they don't lose their authentication to the site at all unless I delete the cookies as well.

You should not have to login for months unless something flushes your cookies.

Make sure when you login that the [ ] remember me box is checked.

I checked your settings and your time zone was for Casablanca. This might throw things off, so I moved it to est.

perhaps that will help.

Geez ... Casablanca?!?!? What the heck ... Don't remember doing that. Must have been a rough night!

Thanks Al. I haven't been checking that box. That could be it.

Al - It was the box! I check it off and it has all been working as desighed ever since. I had thought that the box was just to remember your loggin so one didn't have to type in at each session.
Thanks again Al.
