Unhappy icon not where I want it

When I want to attach a icon to a sentence or paragraph, I go and click on the icon I want but it only goes beside the title. What am I doing wrong.See it did it again.

You're choosing the "icon" called an emoticon or "smilie", from one of the icons from the Post Icons section below the text box. You can either do one of two things; if you're using either the Quick Reply or the Advanced Reply to a post, you can simply type in the text representation of that icon, like this: is really ; ) (without a space between the semi-colon and the end parenthesis) and is really : ( and is really : thumbsup : (minus spaces), OR choose the icons (smilies) from the right side of your text box while using the "Go Advanced" method of posting and just clicking on the little faces, OR also while in the Advanced mode, choose the little happy face above the text box where you see all of the font, linking and other text editing icons and it will bring down a drop-down choice list of all the available smilies.

Did any of that make sense? I think I over-complicated it :/

Question Re: icon not where I want it

lol This will see if you overcomplicated it. Can't see anything on right side of text? No happy face! Did use advanced method.

Re: icon not where I want it

perhaps go to your usercp, options, and click the box for the advanced editor?

Re: icon not where I want it

Before clicking the smilie you want. click the mouse where you want the smilly to be and add a single space away from the last text you placed. What you describe is what happens when you type in quick reply and then go advanced to place a smilie...

Re: icon not where I want it

I'll give it another try Nope that didn't work. Did'nt see anything in userCP. Geting frustrating now. I tried all the ideas but still nothing. OK Ifigured out the typing way I would prefer the drop down or click on method . What's the differewnce between "post reply, Quik Reply or go advanced? THey all seem the same to me HeHe arn't the little things in life fun NOT
