'67 Camaro Seat Backs

I believe it is correct the '67 Camaro has metal seat backs with paint. Are they the same color as the car's body or painted black? Either way are they a gloss finish or a semi-gloss?

Thank you,
Andrew

Yes, metal backs painted interior color and painted same gloss as rest of metal interior parts.

Re: '67 Camaro Seat Backs

67 used a semi-gloss interior paint. I believe it was toned down in 68 and 69.
Agreed, the metal seat backs were the same gloss, though the texture doesn't allow it to look as glossy.

What color is correct for the bar across the top of the rear fold down seat? Interior color or this silver color or something else?

Metal seat backs changed to plastic in April-May 1967. More info here:

Re: '67 Camaro Seat Backs

This is a Sept '66 built car so metal is correct. Just want to confirm the correct coloring.

Yep, correct for your car. Just wanted to add that 2 cents in, in case a future search is run by someone with a late 67.

Re: '67 Camaro Seat Backs

Is there a known paint color code for this interior blue color?

Re: '67 Camaro Seat Backs

Andrew, The cowl tag will have the interior color code. You'll have to give
that code to your paint supplier and they will take it from there. My supplier
called the color library to get the formula.
Edit: This might help.

Re: '67 Camaro Seat Backs

Not to change subject. I have a Camaro built about sametime as yours in LA. Does your subframe have large holes in the front frame horns just below battery as most late build cars have or are there no large holes in the subframe. Mine does not have any approximately 4 inch holes in the inside of front subframe. I recently saw a car in CA that only had one hole. Just curious based on your build date and not knowing if your car was built in LA or in the east.
